For as long as I can remember I've loved clothes and styling up my outfits. From jazzy headbands in primary school to cute frilly socks paired with red vans when I was 14, for me, an outfit never feels complete without the little details.
When I'm feeling stylish and confident, I always reach for a cute silk scarf to finish off my outfit. Not only do they look nice with any outfit, you can also find super pretty ones for fairly cheap. I've bought a few from Primark which are usually around £3 or so, and I managed to bag a Joules one on sale for around £5. They're an easy way to spice up your outfit and I style mine in 4 ways.
The Classic Neck Scarf

Nothing screams 'put-together' more than a neck scarf. It adds a pop of colour to a neutral outfit and just looks so chic. Have I been asked when the BA flight is boarding? Yes. Do I need to re-tie it a few times a day? You bet I do. But I just can't resist how stylish a neck scarf looks and I always find myself reaching for one when I'm in white or nude colours.
Headband Goals

The best part about tying your scarf into a headband is how easy it is and the relaxed vibes it gives. It's not so structured as a regular headband and lets your hair fall naturally around it. Better yet, it brightens up any bad hair day or root nightmares and adds a pop of colour to your hair.
Spice Up Your Handbag

Is there anything cuter than a scarf tied around handles? It's such an easy addition to your outfit but makes it look so chic. My Ted Baker bag was a present from my boyfriend for my 21st Birthday and I'm still so obsessed with it over a year later. The best thing about silk scarves is the fact you don't need to spend a lot of money on them, yet they are still a perfect addition to some of your other favourite accessories.
Longer Scarf? Nothing a Wrap-Around Can't Fix

This scarf was another gift from my boyfriend for my 22nd Birthday (he's good at the gifting front), and at first I wore it as a regular scarf with outfits. After browsing the Ted Baker website and checking out their accessories section, I noticed the model styling a silk scarf around the handbag and just instantly fell in love. I think it really shows off the colours in the scarf and just looks so fashionable! As well as this, it protects the handle from marking or any dirt and that's just an added bonus.
And there you have it, the 4 ways I style silk scarves. They're such a staple piece in my wardrobe and if you ever spot a bargain, go for it - you can figure out the styling along the way!
Hope you enjoyed this piece and I'm hoping to cover more fashion content on my little blog, so stay tuned!
